Are you skilled at transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights? GEM is seeking a Senior Analytics Developer to design, develop, and maintain impactful dashboards, reports, and analytics models that help drive strategic business decisions.

What does your typical day look like? 

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting and analytical needs.

• Translate requirements into effective, interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, Cognos, or others.

• Develop and maintain data visualizations that provide actionable insights and enhance user experience.

• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions and deliver timely recommendations.

• Work closely with data engineers to ensure data quality, integrity, and completeness for reliable analysis.

• Identify and recommend improvements to BI processes and visualization capabilities.

• Support end-users through training and documentation to promote self-service analytics.

• Process requests from international corporate clients.

• Implement projects or training throughout our different sites, including those outside Quebec.

 What skills and training do you need? 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

• 4-6 years of experience as an analytics developer or similar role with strong focus on data visualization and reporting.

• Proficiency in Power BI and/or Cognos; adaptable to other BI tools as needed.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with complex datasets and data modeling (Snowflake or similar platforms preferred).

• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL, and data integration principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business insights.

• Strong communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

• Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on schedule.
