As a Business Analyst - Account Management, you will play a critical role in representing the Account Management teams (the business) in the planning and execution of a corporate initiative focused on client reporting migration. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Account Management, Canadian Strategic Initiatives (CSI), Global Technology Services (GTS), and technical teams as well as external stakeholders such as corporate clients. The Business Analyst will analyze business requirements, execute testing, and develop functional reporting solutions that align with business objectives, translating data into meaningful narratives for clients.
What does your typical day look like?
- Conduct detailed gap analysis to identify differences, work closely with technical teams to ensure development of reporting products to align with business and contractual requirements, and ensure the needs and voice of the business as well as clients are well represented during system transition;
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams as they develop detailed test plans, write tests cases, and execute test scripts for reporting;
- Perform and coordinate User Acceptance Testing to ensure alignment with business requirements, provide after go-live client support, gather feedback from clients and share client enhancement feedback with GTS & CSI;
- Support the creation of support materials that reflect any new reporting product functionalities, including presentation content, new operation procedures for business roles and guidelines;
- Support the coordination of business readiness planning and conduct migration project impact analyses;
- Collaborate with CSI to plan and execute the migration of client reporting processes and delivery;
- Work closely with Account Management, Corporate Clients, GTS, and CSI to analyze and document business requirements;
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Legal Counsel, act as a liaison among business partners, provide ongoing assistance during cutover and go-live periods;
- Meet with and communicate changes with clients;
- Additional tasks and requirements may be required, based on business need.
What skills and training do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred;
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a Business Analyst role;
- Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and French (Spanish considered an additional asset);
- Experience with corporate client reporting management;
- Experience with Power BI/similar reporting tools;
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, capable of leading and inspiring cross-functional teams and managing high-stake external partnerships;
- Expert analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic, detail-oriented mindset;
- Excellent project management skills and abilities.
