As a Corporate Accounting Manager , you will be responsible for consolidation, overseeing and analyzing complex accounting issues, providing accounting advisory support to various areas of finance and leading and contributing to ad hoc projects. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing the preparation of audit material and ensuring compliance with Canadian GAAP requirements.
What does your typical day look like?
· Manage preparation of the consolidated monthly and annual results (Earnings, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
· Coordinate group and subsidiaries financial statements, working with external auditors
· Manage the preparation of the quarterly results analysis
· Manage and optimize direct and indirect tax compliance and planning, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations including transfer pricing documentation
· Develop, deploy and maintain accounting policies manual for the group
· Identify and recommend areas for accounting and corporate finance policy development
· Provide timely interpretation and direction on complex accounting issues in compliance with Canadian GAAP and corporate finance policies
· Review intercompany transactions (+20 entities) and transfer pricing policies
· Be a subject matter expert in your area of responsibility, provide cross functional training, coaching and development of other team members within the finance team
· Respond to inquiries in a timely fashion and escalate issues as required.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
· Bachelor's degree in accounting
· CPA designation
· A minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience in progressively responsible positions
· Bilingual French and English (Verbal and written)
· Experience with creating financial statements
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
· Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
