As an Outpatient Negociator Level I, you will play a key role in managing outpatient claim costs by working directly with healthcare providers in the USA & Canada. Under the direction of our Team Leader – Outpatient Negotiations, you will implement innovative strategies that make a difference for our clients. You will have the opportunity to refine your skills while contributing to significant savings and optimizing processes.
What does your typical day look like?
- Negotiate and secure win-win agreements with healthcare providers, proactively and effectively reducing claim costs. You will ensure exceptional discounts and quick invoice processing, creating an immediate and tangible impact;
- Optimize savings by evaluating each claim to identify opportunities for negotiation or favorable pricing, using state-of-the-art tools;
- Build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, negotiating agreements at preferential rates that make a real difference for our clients;
- Collaborate with the legal team and defend patient interests in the case of disputes, ensuring payments are fair and compliant;
- Become an expert on client expectations and needs, using innovative methods to secure favorable discounts and agreements, whether through advance payments or other cutting-edge strategies;
- Contribute to exciting projects and respond to special requests that will further enrich your experience.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
- Post-secondary degree;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a professional environment;
- Bilingualism (French and English). English will be used daily to collaborate with international healthcare professionals, manage global claims, and communicate with clients worldwide;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ease with digital tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong sense of diplomacy and professionalism;
- Strategic mindset for analyzing claims and defining the best negotiation tactics;
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities change quickly, while maintaining a clear and organized approach to your work;
- Team spirit and the ability to work autonomously with great flexibility;
- Knowledge of the Canadian & US healthcare system (an asset that will set you apart).
