As a Medical Reviewer, you use your medical background and knowledge to accurately present the medical evidence received, detailing issues identified or resolved so that your opinion can be referenced as evidence in the next steps of the claim.

What does your typical shift look like?

• Analyze and summarize medical records, past medical history charts, any additional medical information received in a claim;
• Request supplementary records needed to complete the medical evidence of a file;
• Perform a detailed review to evaluate plan eligibility, pre-existing medical condition stability requirements, applicable exclusions, reasonable and customary procedures.

What skills and training do you need?

• Diploma in the medical field;
• Work experience in the medical field;
• Ability to speak clearly and communicate well in English, both written and spoken is required;
• Ability to read and understand written Spanish would be considered an asset;
• Solid decision making, problem solving and communication skills;
• Highly organized, detail oriented and ability to set priorities;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
